Wolverton has an active Parent Teacher Association (PTA), made up of a group of volunteer parents who want to raise much needed funds for the school, whilst having fun and building friendships along the way.
We organise events to inspire a sense of community within Wolverton, placing the well-being of its children and families at the heart of what we do. We aim to make a difference by raising additional funds for school, whilst encouraging the children and their families to socialise and enjoy themselves. We have arranged a number of family events including : bingo, a quiz night and Christmas and Summer Fayres.
Over the past few years, the school has benefited in numerous ways from funds raised at our PTA events, including creating a new sensory area in the playground, decoration of the school hall and improvements to one of the classrooms to name a few. We have also contributed to enrichment activities such as scoot-ability and a reptile roadshow.
Our committee members:
Co-chairs: Emily Stephens and Emily Evans
Treasurer: Norm Stephens
Secretary: Sarah Hastings
We also have a trusty team of Class reps and number of regular volunteers, who we couldn’t run the events without.
We are always looking for new people to take on a role and coordinate events. It’s a job you can do for as long or as little as you would like, so all offers of help are always welcome! This can be given in many ways; by attending events, selling raffle tickets, becoming a committee member, sending in donations, baking cakes, wrapping gifts etc. if you are happy to help – great!!
